Registration for 2025 Scouting Year
Online registration for the 2025 Scouting year will be open on August 1st (early registration for returning members); registering a new child or a returning child in a new group will be possible starting September 15th.
Current registrations - for families already registered for the 2024 Scouting Year - your registration runs until December 31st 2024 but you need to register for 2025 by September 7th to guarantee your 2025 spot; after that date, 2025 spots become available to new registrants.
New registrations: new prospective members can register starting September 15th for the 2025 Scouting Year and can then begin attending immediately for the balance of 2024 if space is available.
All programmes began in September 2024* and run through to approximately the end of the school year plus additional meetings, camps and special events scheduled in the summer, with regular weekly meetings resuming in September. You can join at any time during the year, subject to availability of space. 2025 Scouting year registration will be valid until December 31st 2025.
Please note: registration is on a first come first served basis. To ensure your first priority, it is advised that you register early. The section will close when the maximum number of participants has been reached - No Exceptions. Maximum number of youth per section must comply with Scouts Canada regulations and is determined by the number of available volunteers. If you are not able to register your youth please contact the 1st Bolton Scouts - Group Registrar to make sure your youth is placed on a wait list. Future spots may open up if more people volunteer to help out.
All Scouting registration can now be done quickly and easily online using a credit card.
Can we still pay with cash? If paying with cash, parents can purchase a pre-paid Visa card in cash and use the pre-paid card to complete their child's online registration. We also support Interac® transfer (please note CIBC does not permit this function) and PayPal®.
What if we do not have Internet access at home? Certain homes may not have Internet access, but most businesses, community centers, libraries and restaurants do. If Internet is not available at a parent's place of work, they can also ask a family member, friend or neighbour to borrow access so they can register.
